About Maggie

With a background in creative writing, Maggie has spent her entire life writing the stories of her life in her mind. After raising four kids, and living all over the country, she finally sat down long enough for those stories to emerge from her mind onto the printed page.

From her initial foray under the pen name Kathryn Lee, to her upcoming book “25 Roses”, Maggie’s stories encompass everything from the highs and lows of raising kids, to a federal murder case that nearly toppled her entire family. From marriage to monsters, there’s a little something for everyone.

“I’m a real person telling real stories about real issues.

I write creative fiction shaped by people, places and events, drawing lived experiences to create work that’s honest, observant and deeply human. I travel, adventure and connect with others, then turn those moments into stories that reflect the world as it is – complex, meaningful and worth paying attention to.”

Maggie’s greatest hope is that each and every one of her readers will be left with a deep sense of abiding hope – because in the end, that’s what life is truly about.

Drawing from lived experience, her work is grounded, honest and deeply human. Her upcoming book will be released this August.

Originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Maggie now resides in Northern Wisconsin with her husband and their precious fur babies.
